Introduction

Hello! I'm a renaissance woman whose family originated in Estonia/Russia/Sweden. All my life I've found greater compatibility with my international friends whose wisdom comes from longstanding cultural traditions. Would love to meet in NYC area.

I ask all members to please upload a pic to give us the chance to build a warm, sincere, friendly community. Sorry it may seem like a lot of work but I will not be able to approve your membership until this is done as well as a complete questionaire.

All my life I have focused on my international connections, studying anthropology/linguistics and living in international dormitories, making friends with the international students in school. I'd love to continue this now.

Where in Europe did you travel to? Any particular distinct memory?

Spent a few weeks in Belgium and the Netherlands last year. Loved photographing the tulips in Keukenhof - I ran around the park as the gardeners were lopping off the flowers - it was the last day before the park closed! Took several hundred photos.

What is your connection to Europe?

Father was born in Estonia, his parents are from Sweden and Estonia. Mother's family was born in Russia/Poland. I have always related more to the world than to the US, per se.

Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker helping adults recovering from mental illness and addiction. Also work with persons recovering from traumatic brain injury. I play several instruments, garden, and take many photos of people/plants.

Do you speak a language other than English?

Currently speak Spanish, understand & speak someFrench (used to be fluent), understand some German, speak some Greek, Italian. Studied Cakchiquel Mayan and smattering of other languages.
